Regarding Recent News Reports Related to the Brian Terry Murder Investigation
In
response to the inquiries related to recent news reports regarding the Brian
Terry investigation. On Thursday, January 17, 2013, Gustavo Cruz-Lozano was
interviewed by FBI Agents from the San Antonio Division. During the course of
the interview, Cruz-Lozano admitted to the Agents that he lied about his
involvement in the death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in order to
garner attention. Gustavo Cruz-Lozano is in custody in Texas on unrelated
charges.
To date in the investigation into the death of Border Patrol Agent
Brian Terry, five individuals have been indicted, Manuel Osorio-Arellanes, Jesus Rosario Favela-Astorga,
Ivan Soto-Barraza, Heraclio
Osorio-Arellanes, and Lionel Portillo-Meza. On
October 30, 2012, Manuel Osorio-Arellanes pled guilty
to first degree murder in the death of United States Border Patrol Agent Brian
Terry. Lionel Portillo-Meza was captured in Mexico and is currently awaiting
extradition. The FBI continues to dedicate all necessary resources to this
investigation.

Stranded Samaritans assisted by Border Patrol
TUCSON,
Ariz. Two women from a local humanitarian group received assistance from
Nogales Station Border Patrol agents after finding themselves stranded in the Tumacacori Mountains Friday night.
The women, volunteers from the
Tucson-based Samaritans humanitarian group, became stranded when their vehicle
failed to start. Fortunately, at least one of the women had a GPS device
equipped with a button for summoning help.
Two Border Patrol agents from
the Nogales Stations All-Terrain Vehicle unit found the women after receiving
a call from the womans husband who relayed the coordinates from the GPS
device. Temperatures were below freezing when the women were found.
Agents were able to jump-start
the Samaritan's vehicle and then followed them to I-19 to ensure their safety.
The Samaritans stopped at the checkpoint to thank the Border Patrol; both
appeared to be in good condition.
The
Sonoran Desert is dangerous and prolonged exposure to the harsh environment can
be deadly. While the desert is most commonly associated with extreme heat,
temperatures can drop drastically in the winter and hard winter freezes are
common. The Tucson Sector has thousands of agents trained as First
Responders who are able to provide aid to anyone in need, regardless of
nationality.

This is common sense, but sense is neither common nor sensible to an
ideologue as when Pres Obama was asked by a lefty journalist on if raising
taxes on the top 2% was a good thing when it would cost 700,000 jobs and only
fund the government for 8 days, Obama said it did not matter if it was good or
right, it was what was fair. the rich needed to pay
their fair share so it was immaterial how many jobs were lost or what taxes

comes in which is fact based with the Reagan recovery and Clinton high times of

I rarely voice my personal opinion, but this time I am.
When Rep. Gabby Giffords got shot I was appalled,
wanted the best for her and she openly said she believed in the 2nd Amendment,
now I have lost all respect for her as she has created her own anti gun lobby. I will never support or submit to a
violation of the 2nd amendment in anyway.
