A lot of lead information to think on before this News of Import, first let’s talk about rumors. I have already talked about the rumors of guns and ammo to which I have added some additional ammo news if you want, but let me give an example by way of rumor. There are many that believe Grover Norquist who is famous for his tax pledge is not who he is. There is a link below that is official Congressional video with the premise that because Grover married a Palestinian that he is in the pocket of the Muslims. Why does this matter? To me it is simple, there are countless people who believe martial law is about to happen, they point to this article or this video or their family/ friend told them it was going to happen. Another is gun confiscation to which there are historical connections to and confiscation has happened in American history, one only has to look at New Orleans and Katrina to see this happen with an amendment to the Louisianan state constitution barring the seizing of firearms after Katrina. Amending the state constitution is something to remember as the Shreveport sheriff said he had authority to confiscate weapons where the Federal Government did not, now he absolutely does not have that authority. Immigration is another big topic on the rumor mill, why do politicians not fix the problem? It is for each person to decide on their own through research.

It is easy to see the liberal an often far let liberal bias in the media along with their refusal to break news that is bad for the liberal or progressive agenda. History is written by the victor in war, the progressives have been rewriting our history for decades and now we have Common Core where the defenders of the Alamo or the Colonist who perpetrated the Boston Tea Party are branded terrorist, malcontents and racists. In Common Core, Paul Revere is labeled a drug dealing pimp who used under age women, not a silver smith who was warning the Colonist that the British were coming. These charming characterizations are also in the Texas Education plan that is now facing a lot of heat. Common Core is based off of the Texas Ed plan created by progressives and it teaches there is no nationalism, patriotism is bad, guns are evil and the free market system is a stepping stone to socialism with communism being the goal. It is all about the collective and the group, not the self.

Pass the word about Common Core, it is downright evil as far as I am concerned and there will be no freedom if we have an uneducated populace that has to depend on the state for everything.

Immigration:
U.S. Border Patrol Sees 70-Percent Spike in Assaults

In the past two nights, two agents have been assaulted in two separate incidents and the most recent statistics show these are not isolated incidents. NBC 7's Greg Bledsoe reports.

Activity and assaults against federal agents patrolling the U.S. Mexico border have increased. Now, one field agent tells NBC 7 San Diego that agents from other parts of the country are being called in to help patrol.

Jerry Conlin with U.S. Border Patrol said the agency saw a 70 percent increase in assaults against U.S. Border Patrol agents last year over the previous year.

“In 2011 we actually recorded 77 assaults against our agents,” Conlin said. “Last year we had 133."

Just this week there have been two assaults on two agents patrolling in the San Diego region.

On Monday, a U.S. Border Patrol agent was struck twice in the face by a man intercepted near Otay Mountain. The suspect was eventually taken into custody and faces charges of assault on a federal agent.

Then Tuesday, about a mile west of the San Ysidro Port of Entry, an agent spotted four people jump the fence. When the agent arrested one of the men, the other three jumped back over the fence.

“As he was placing this individual under arrest, the three individuals started throwing rocks from south of the fence," Conlin said.

"Rock throwing is probably the most common form of assaults," he said.

While, rocks are the most common weapon, agents need only remember back to 2009 when Agent Robert Rosas was ambushed and shot to death near Campo by a group trying to steal his night vision goggles.

Conlin says a week with two separate assaults on agents is a reminder to all of them.

"Anytime we see assaults go up, it's just a reminder of how dangerous it is and how we always have to be aware of our surroundings and protect our fellow agents," Conlin said.

NBC 7 San Diego spoke with one field agent working near the border Wednesday night who said there has been a lot of activity near the San Ysidro border here lately.

So much so, he said they're calling in agents from other parts of the county to patrol here.
