On a personal note I wanted to share this news, that of the passing of an American hero with four tours in Iraq, 160 confirmed sniper kills and named “the devil of Ramadi” by insurgents, Chris Kyle was shot by an American in TX. I come from a multi-generational military family.  You value our veterans and this loss is personal for me as he was a great person who tirelessly gave of his time to mentor vets and help the wounded while tirelessly defending the 2nd Amendment and other rights. According to a local news station, police have arrested a suspect in the slayings. The suspect reportedly shot Kyle at point-blank range while he attempted to aid a fellow veteran. As soldiers say, never leave a man behind and this is what Kyle was doing when he was gunned down.

Quote from Chris, “I began teaching my son how to shoot when he was two, starting with the basics of a BB rifle. My theory is that kids get into trouble because of curiosity—if you don’t satisfy it, you’re asking for big problems. If you inform them and carefully instruct them on safety when they’re young, you avoid a lot of the trouble. My son has learned to respect weapons. I’ve always told him, if you want to use a gun, come get me. There’s nothing I like better than shooting.”
